CALLIOPE. This name (pronounced "kah-LIE-oh-pee") is for the Greek Muse of Eloquence and Heroic Poetry. We named her because she makes sweet noises that sound like the steam-whistle musical organ of the same name. She's the oldest pup.

ALPIN. This is the only boy of the bunch. This name is from the Anglicized form of the Gaelic name Ailpein, derived from a word meaning "white". This was the name of a 9th-century Scottish king. Our Alpin is the second born in the litter, and he has a half-white face.

BRIGID. This name means "exalted one" in Gaelic. In Irish mythology she was the goddess of fire, poetry and wisdom. This was the third pup to be born, and she's probably the most fearless; quite a good stock dog!

FUR D'LIS. Okay, so this name is not Scottish or Gaelic, but I couldn't resist. This girl has markings on her forehead that looks exactly like a tulip cutting.I couldn't resist the pun on the French "Fleur d'Lis", and thus her name was born.

INNES. This name means "one strength" derived from Irish óen "one" and gus "force, strength, energy". This is the feminine form of Aonghus, the Irish god of love and youth. This describes this beautiful pup well.

SENGA. This name is derived from Gaelic word "seang", meaning"slender". This girl takes after her mother, who looks like a cheetah when running: quite amazing!

DUBBHAIN. Her name is derived from the Gaelic for "black white" and is pronounced "Dubbin". This girl is the runt, but definitely the cutest and the most docile of the litter.
